Here is the next single off of L.A.X. which drops on the 26th of August. There are two versions of this track, one of them has an alternate verse because some controversy has sparked regarding a line in the track. In the track, Game spits, "All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them, so there ain't no proof I walked through 8 Mile/ And so since it ain't no Proof, I'll never walk through 8 Mile/ Sometimes I think about my life with my face down/ Then I see my sons and put on my Kanye smile." Some people have taken this as a shot at Eminem so The Game released this statement regarding the line and his decision to release an alternate verse:

When I originally wrote the song “My Life” I was trying to think back on events that affected my life and how they changed me. When I first got signed to Aftermath and G-Unit I was exposed to so many different people from Dre to Em to 50 to Proof. I always identified with Proof. We were always cool and he would reach out to me when ever I was going through something I remember when Proof died vividly and now every time I think about going to Detroit I get depressed. That is what I was trying to say in that verse and the more I looked at I realized that people would take it the wrong way…the way they are taking it now that it leaked. So I decided to change it so that this bullshit wouldn’t happen and now it’s happened anyway. For the record, this is not the version on my album, this is not the version that radio will get and this is not the version that I just shot the video to. Furthermore, I apologize to anyone who took this the wrong way as that was never my intention.

Whether The Game is being honest with this statement or not, I think that was a smart move because I don't think any MC wants a beef with Eminem. Anyway, sorry for the long post here are the tracks.

Now look at this cover...what do you notice? You may look at the cover and think that it's obviously the cover to Nas' I Am... But if you pay attention, you will notice that under the title it says The Autobiography. What people don't realize is the original title to Nas' 1999 album, I Am..., was supposed to be a double album titled I Am...The Autobiography. The concept of the album was supposed to be an autobiography of Nas' life. However, the album became one of the first major label releases to be leaked in MP3 format. Basically, half of the album was leaked forcing Nas to trim the album to a single disc. Most of the leaked tracks can be heard on Nas' The Lost Tapes but last night I stumbled on the entire leaked half of the album in addition to Nas' demo tape and I would encourage you all to find and listen to those gems. I have no reason for posting this other than the fact that Nas' new album is about to drop and he's the only artist I've been listening to this week.
